Program Description

Event Details

The early settlers' first report of the Great Circle Earthworks was in 1800 when Isaac Stadden found them and surmised it was an ancient Indian fort. In the years following, the "Old Fort" hosted the Ohio State Fair and a Civil War encampment, among other events. This program highlights the modern history of the Great Circle and how it helped preserve the area.
