Event Details
Dr. Heather Pool, an associate professor at Denison University, discusses the evolution of voting. We’ll look at who makes laws regarding voting per the Constitution, practices of voting, and the efforts to both make it harder to vote and secure voting. Then, explore how the SAVE Act impacts voting in the United States.
Dr. Pool is an associate professor at Denison University and currently serves as chair of the Politics and Public Affairs Department. She holds a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from St. John's College and a master's and PhD in Political Science from the University of Washington. Her expertise is largely political theory, American political thought and the politics of race in the US.
