Event Details
Dr. Chris Farrar examines the historical origins of the God of Israel. One God, and only one, emerged from the multiplicity of ancient near eastern deities to become the God of Israel, and subsequently, the God of the universe. But this God has no predecessors among those other deities—not among the gods of the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Egyptians, the Canaanites, or those of their contemporary civilizations. Dr. Farrar considers how a deity emerged from the fringes of the ancient world to become the God of Israel.
Books are available for purchase and signing at the time of the program.
