Attend a screening of This is the Ohio: Life, Death, Rebirth of the Beautiful River followed by a discussion with filmmaker Morgan Atkinson.
This recently released and PBS-featured documentary is about the current rebirth of the Ohio River thanks to community engagement and the grassroots passion of organizations like The Ohio River Way.
Morgan Atkinson is a Louisville-based documentary filmmaker behind This is the Ohio. He has dedicated his career to researching and exploring the extraordinary people and places found in Louisville, Kentucky and across America. His other work has highlighted historic Louisville basketball, Thomas Merton, the Abbey of Gethsemani, John Howard Griffin, Anna and Harlan Hubbard, musician Tim Krekel, and Beargrass Creek.
This free program is part of our lifelong learning series, Empowered Minds. The focus of this signature service is healthy aging and enrichment for the retirement-age citizens of Licking County.
