Dr. Lisa Stein Haven, Professor of English at Ohio University Zanesville, discusses the seminal novels of the Western genre by Zane Grey (Riders of the Purple Sage) and Owen Wister (The Virginian) and how these classic stories were translated into silent film.

This free program is part of our lifelong learning series, Empowered Minds. The focus of this signature service is healthy aging and enrichment for the retirement-age citizens of Licking County.
