Writing instructor Gabrielle Esposito offers a writing session built around personal memories. Through a series of engaging exercises and prompts, attendees will delve into their memories, uncovering the stories that shape their lives. This memoir writing workshop provides practical techniques for capturing vivid details, crafting compelling narratives, and preserving personal legacies.
Gabrielle Esposito holds a degree in Creative Writing from SUNY Geneseo. Her short stories have appeared in esteemed publications such as The Manhattanville Review, 34TH Parallel, and Gandy Dancer, among others. Notably, her story “The Way Home” earned second place in the 2023 Doro Boehme Fiction Editors’ Prize and was nominated for the 2024 Best American Short Stories anthology. In addition to her writing, Gabrielle is a Library Director based in the Hudson Valley region of New York. She dedicates her free time to teaching writing workshops at local libraries and editing manuscripts for talented authors.
This free, virtual program is part of our lifelong learning series Empowered Minds. The focus of this signature service is healthy aging and enrichment for the retirement-age citizens of Licking County. All adults are welcome.
