Program Description

Event Details

Art historian and artist Sean Crum discusses the art, architecture, and writing of the earliest Near East cultures. The ancient Sumerian cities of Ur and Uruk introduced the first system of writing, built towering ziggurats crowned with temples, and developed the earliest recorded law code. The great cities of Babylon and Persepolis created magnificent artworks. This is a great beginning to any study of art history.

This free, virtual program is part of our lifelong learning series Empowered Minds.
