Dr. Paul Reed, Associate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Alabama, presents an overview of variations and changes in Appalachian English.
Dr. Reed's language research focuses on the varieties of English across the Southern United States, examining variation in the Appalachian region, with an emphasis on vocalic and intonational variation. He earned his PhD from the University of South Carolina.
