Do you have a child preparing for pre-k or kindergarten? This two-part series is designed to support families and their young children in getting ready for school. This brief presentation is followed by hands-on activities that you can do at home with your child to help them develop skills for school. Representatives from local organizations also share information about other resources in the county. Facilitators include Juakita Bowens, Coordinator of Structured Literacy at Newark City Schools; Allyson Brickner, Early Literacy Librarian at Licking County Library; and Emily Nemeth, Ph. D, Department of Education Chair and Associate Professor at Denison University.
