In preparation for author Leila Philip's November 11 visit to Denison University, Licking Land Trust, Licking Parks District, Licking County Library and Granville Public Library are hosting a book discussion. Copies of Beaverland can be borrowed from Licking County Library, Granville Public Library or download a copy from The Ohio Digital Library.

This community book club is being held at James Bradley Center, Infirmary Mound Park: 4309 Lancaster Road, Granville, 43023.

Philip's book chronicles the history beavers have had on America's economy, landscape and the health of our water resources. Learn how beavers gave the Astor family their start, how satellite imaging has captured this rodent's geographical impact, and the current benefits and difficulties beavers bring to the modern world.
